The Baysville New Build - Hillside Construction
The Challenge
This Baysville new build presented a unique challenge due to the steep sloped lot and changing elevation across the site. Careful excavation and foundation planning were critical to ensure the house and detached garage sat properly on the terrain while allowing for structural stability, drainage, and long-term performance.
The Solution
We stepped the foundation to follow the natural grade of the property and carefully managed site grading to control water flow and support the build. By planning each stage from excavation through framing, we were able to create a solid, efficient structure that fits naturally into the hillside while maintaining function and durability

The Washago Demolition
The Challenge
This project began with a complete teardown of an existing structure late in the construction season. Starting in October, the team faced tight timelines, dropping temperatures, and rapidly approaching winter conditions. The scope included full demolition, site cleanup, excavation, basement construction, and a complete custom home build — all while managing weather risks, frozen ground, and shortened daylight hours. The primary challenge was delivering a fully finished, livable home before peak winter without compromising quality or craftsmanship.
The Solution
Through detailed planning, efficient scheduling, and hands-on project management, the build was executed in carefully coordinated phases to maintain momentum despite winter conditions. Demolition and excavation were completed quickly to secure the foundation before deep frost set in, allowing framing and enclosure to proceed on schedule. Trades were tightly coordinated, materials were pre-planned to avoid delays, and work continued strategically through the winter months.
The result was a fully completed custom home delivered in just four months — with homeowners moving in by the end of January — demonstrating efficiency, organization, and high-quality execution under demanding conditions.
